Fish were stocked in April 2025.

The new docks are finished!

Progress on new dock…

Update on the pond and dock:

On January 22nd a group of volunteers drilled and sawed holes in the ice around the new dock structure, because the dock was raising, and the water level is still 21 inches from being full. They also placed diffusers under the dock. The poles for the dock are now freed from the ice and they settled into place.

Below are photos of the dock with one foot of ice around the posts.

24 hours later the dock settled 2 inches, and the ice melted around the dock. For now, the problem has been resolved.

Dear Members,

The Club is in need of Cedar Trees to be used for habitat cover for the Spring stocking of fish. If you have one, please drop it off by the handicap parking lot near the pond.

Thank you,

Tri-County Board of Directors

Below are a few pictures of the water level of the pond. These were taken in early December. About 6 feet of water needed to fill the pond!

The Board of Directors would like to thank everyone who helped with and all that attended the fall fish fry, it was a great success, one of the largest crowds in recent years.

A special thank you to the Dyersville Sportsmen’s Club for frying the fish this year. We had many compliments on the fish!

Pond restoration begins…

It took lots of hard work to get the clogged drain tube opened up for the pond to drain.

The drain plugged and the pond filled up again. We found grass carp in the drain valve clogging the drain.

We thought the biggest fish in the pond was a grass carp…

Yikes!

Man with alligator

We are now looking for a new director! Just kidding!! The alligator is actually a 3D archery target used this past July for the Annual 3D Archery Shoot. See the Archery Range page tab for information on the Annual shoot.

Steger Construction set the new dock poles and the Tri-County Sportsmen members went to work!

The dock substructure is complete and the decking along with railings to be completed in the Spring.

Many thanks to all of the time and talent of our members and Steger Construction!!

The pond drain valve is now closed and the pond is beginning to fill back up.

The plan is to stock fish in the Spring of 2025.

Adopt- a- Highway

April 23rd, Tuesday night we had a great turnout for the annual Spring Adopt-a-Highway cleanup. The Club maintains a 2-mile segment of highway between New Vienna and Luxemburg.

Spring Work Day

We had a very busy and successful workday last Saturday, April 13. Twenty-three of our members showed up to work with side x sides, 4 wheelers and water spraying equipment to burn 17 acres of the CRP fields in addition to many other springtime chores!

Thanks everyone!!
